This ladies round neck t-shirt features the Canadian Military Heritage Museum logo and an image of a Spitfire. The scale model of one of the most iconic fighter planes of World War Two.
Together, with other fighters such as the Hurricane, these planes were instrumental in turning the tide in the Battle of Britain.
The striped markings on the wings were to identify other ‘friendly’ planes as all Allied planes were painted in this scheme during the invasion of Normandy in June, 1944.
