Peterborough Symphony Orchestra is a non-profit charity located in downtown Peterborough, Ontario that is committed to presenting high quality orchestral performances, education and outreach in the communities we serve. For over 50 years, the PSO has been a cultural cornerstone of the Peterborough community, and has a reputation as one of the finest community-based orchestras in Canada.

Michael Newnham, PSO Music Director & Conductor, is best known for his intense and inspiring conducting style, based on a deep knowledge of the score and informed by a strong interest in languages, cultures and history. A born communicator, his open and direct contact with musicians and audiences creates performances full of expression and energy.
